Green Flushing

I never realized how Green the city of Scottsdale is!  At the cost of $7.3 million,  Scottsdale Arizona’s newest fire station, Station 2 has some interesting features.  Besides solar panels and double-paned , high visibility glass windows that save electricity that we all hear about, the city has added to their green building two items that may be less familiar to you.  What are these items?  First, there’s the dual (double) flush toilets…you know, one for solids, and one for liquids.  Then, there is the waterless urnials.   I’m glad to know that firefighters in this city are looking out for the environment everytime they sit down on the throne!!!!  Kudos to saving water in the desert state!
