Finally - that degree in Media Studies is paying-off! Mother will be proud.

I'm a wandering Geordie, who has washed-up on the banks of the Thames, and found himself a nice country pub (that hasn't got WiFi - grrr).

After 14 years working in the TV industry, I decided to jack it all in, get myself a job at a major T'Interweb corporation and launch myself into an unsuspecting Web 2.0

I make no apology for the eclectic range of stories I'm posting here - nor am I apologising for my 'pun' headlines - they're in the best tradition of Fleet Street journalism!. My news feeds range from the sublime to the ridiculous - from the Fortean Times to the London Times. I would say that these stores are "my two cents," but with inflation and the exchange rate, "here's my ha'penny."

Best NP moment so far: Managed to report the death of Solzhenitsyn before BBC, AP, NY Times. Now *that's* what I call "crowd-powered!"

Hmmm - what to write for my 100th story... decisions, decisions...
