DC: City of Trees, Uprooted
Washington, DC – A little wind and a lot of rain uprooted trees in upper northwest DC today. At least two street trees fell on houses in the Tenleytown area. A Reno Road street tree fell onto the roof of a two story house. A few blocks away a falling tree pushed a porch roof from horizontal to a 45 degree angle.
These trees were under the care and jurisdiction of the DC Department of Transportation's Urban Forestry Administration. DC government's other failures for the
day included clogged street drains which caused two foot wide rivers of water in the curb lanes on Connecticut Avenue. In addition, water backed up behind “temporary” asphalt patches on sidewalks.
With all the mismanaged water saturating their roots, these large trees could only swim crown up for so long.
Other trees in the area met the same fate in May 2008.

Can you tell me where those houses are? I'm a reporter for channel 7 and would like to get some pictures of them.
Many Thanks--

Just drive around until you see the houses with trees sticking out of them....

Mainstream media, if spoon feed will cover community news. I was walking around in the rain to get those photos. I'm sure their news vans have a greater range. Those trees on houses and overflowing drains were not hard to find.
