Sarah Palin: Pregnancy Proven

This blogger has a few of the many photos that show a very pregnant Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, now John McCain's VP choice.

Since the leftists at Daily Kos want to declare that Sarah Palin didn’t have her last child, but her daughter did, I thought I might get some sort of evidence that she was actually pregnant.

Thanks, Rhonda. Joellerose also has a good story on this smear campaign that's attacking a child as well as Palin.

You are very welcome, PEP. Thanks for the link -- our comments must have crossed -- I had already read the story -- good stuff.

It's not a smear campaign, it's a scandalous rumor...those are quite different.  Smear campaigns are aimed at destroying someone's viability as a candidate by promoting unpopular information that one knows is untrue.  A scandalous rumor, however, is something nobody knows is untrue.  If the blogosphere keeps harping on what we now know is a non-truth, then it transitions from a scandalous rumor into a smear campaign.

I learned that in Campaign Management 101.

These slime merchants don't care if they hurt a child. Thanks, Paschen.

Rumor has it Sara Palin is a graduate, Magna Cum Laude, of the now defunct Television Institute of Social Policy. Group photo of instructional staff at the time of her attendance is provided here.

EL nothing shows up in your comment, but that's OK as you said it was a rumor. But I went and looked it up anyway, and just saw another leftist smear.

Just now:

Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, is pregnant and will keep the baby and marry the father, a senior aide to Sen. John McCain confirmed to CNN Tuesday.

Republican presidential candidate McCain was aware of Bristol Palin's pregnancy before he chose her mother for his running mate, the aide said.

"Senator McCain knew this and felt in no way did it disqualify her from being vice president," said the aide. "Families have difficulties sometimes, and lucky for her she has a supportive family."

The 17-year-old, a senior in high school, is about five months along, in her second trimester, according to the aide.

The aide said it was decided the campaign would reveal this information now because of rampant Internet rumors that Sarah Palin's 4-month-old baby, who has Down syndrome, was actually Bristol's.

"In the course of correcting that, we needed to get the truth out," said the McCain aide.

Palin has been pregnant several times. You'll need to show the date of those photos before you prove or disprove anything.

Furthermore -- Check this out:  Palins Announce Daughter's Pregnancy.  I think this puts a lid on the liberal attack plan.

The Daily Kos, has probably some of the worst commentary and vile smears on the Internet. Furthermore, anything that goes against their "tow the line" point of view is met with vile smears, lies, and downright hate.

It's sad and deplorable that anything that they allege has to even be addressed let alone proven to be incorrect.

I'll be so bold as to say if it's on that site, it has no credibility.

My thanks to those who quickly added the news that Sarah Palin and the entire family are standing by not only their daughter, but her unborn child and the father, too.

djsblack, The Daily Kos is filled with hatred, lies, and vituperation. The minute someone cites The Daily Kos as a reliable source, and their only one, in any discussion, that's the signal that they're just showing up to damage someone, push some propaganda, and not dialogue on either issues or fact.

PEP, I like this story. To have a child with 17 years is a normal thing in Europe. Nobody would ask, it's just a private decision. I think the baby will have a happy family, good luck for mother and child.

Solarlife, I don't like teen pregnancy, because I am a big advocate of education first. However, teen pregnancy happens here in the U.S. too. There are many ways of dealing with it.

Some people think--and apparently those sliming Palin are among them--that the parents and family should paste a scarlet letter and disown and expel the child just when she needs support the most. Others think that an immediate abortion is in order.

But the right course is the one that Palin and her family have chosen: to support her daughter, to welcome the child, to counsel with the couple, and to advise marriage. Other than locking women up in buildings and not allowing them out into the world except under male guard--oh wait! they already do that in parts of the world and in some jihad-loving religions--these things will happen.

We've created a society that is sex-drenched. Even little girls are wearing makeup and trying to be "sexy" even before they understand what it means. So we can talk about how kids "ought" to behave, but all around them are the ads, the TV shows, the movies, the adults, and as everyone knows, kids do what they see, not what's lectured to them.

As far as the young woman becoming pregnant so early--here's the deal. Everyone who never ever had a sexual encounter, or even wanted one, in their teens is free to judge her in terms of morals, IMHO. Let me ask everyone who's attacking her, and mocking her, and using it to push party politics these questions: 1) how old were you when you first became aware of sex? 2) how old were you when you began to masturbate? 3) how old were you when you had your first sexual encounter? 4) did you always use proper birth control at every sexual encounter of your life? 5) have you ever had sexual intercourse outside of what "morality" demands, i.e. marriage? 6) has anyone in your family ever become pregnant before the age of 21, married or unmarried? 7) if unmarried, did your family throw them away and out onto the street?

If the answers to #1 through 3 aren't 21 (the legal age of adulthood in the U.S. legally speaking, in many terms), if the answer to #4 isn't "yes", the answer to #5 "no", the answer to #6 no, and therefore, no answer needed to #7,then the person judging is being a hypocrite.

The amazing thing is that the moral tut-tutting and shaming of a young woman is coming from the Democrats and liberals, those people who supposedly avow women's rights and, they say, equal treatment for all. But suddenly, they're acting like Salem, and wanting to shame and punish a young woman.

I used to be a Democrat. But the Democratic party, over the years, changed from what it had been (as political groups will do). So I switched, and every day I become happier that I did. The level of personal vituperation coming from the left is disgraceful. There's almost no chance to have a reasonable discourse on issues anymore without the same cant popping up.

The groups that are sliming Palin and shaming her daughter--and I think that dragging all this out for judgment is far more shameful than the younger Palin getting pregnant--are perfectly OK with a candidate who's signed a church covenant to put their allegiance to Africa first above all else, who's had his daughters raised in a church led by a man who proclaims "God Damn America", a man who's been mentored by a known anti-American terrorist, and, a man who recommended and helped a now-convicted dishonest businessman to his success.

Those issues loom large. Family issues like a teen pregnancy pale in comparison.

And thanks for the flag!

I think any smears just take attention from the outright lies she already is telling regarding policy and her record.

What you're missing, deliberately so, is that this particular discussion is focused on the vile attack on a child whose parent happens to be prominent. Check the headline and post to verify that. If you happen to have a comment supporting the anonymous posting of a rumor at DailyKos and would like to tell us why you think that is a good level of discourse in American politics, feel free to share that.

0
dunkelberg

Check the headline and post to verify that.

OK, it seems that one group of pictures say another group of pictures is wrong and that is all the headline and post says.

I don't see that others are limited to posting in favor of Daily Kos.  There are almost as many fanatics there as there are on some of the looney right-wing sites.

It is just as despicable no matter what side does it, and, as I said, it takes away from real issues, such as lies.

PotcallingKettleBlack

I've been immensely amused at the outrage on the right when some wacky leftists adopt the tried and proven techniques of the right.  Are you people serious?

PEP

Dear anonymous person doing a drive-by: is it possible for you to stop with the cant already and maybe focus on just one issue at a time and evaluate that? Yes, I know--that will take time and analysis, and then a conclusion based upon many factors.

Never mind, much easier to drive by spouting tired old cant and phrases that are heard in some quarters rather than reasonable discussion of one issue at a time.

So, how's your score on the moral righteousness test I posted? Perfect score? Good, then you're apparently one of the rare ones who is, like Salem leaders, good enough to judge others by virture of cant, group think, and without pausing to give due consideration.

Apparently the best way to defuse rumors that your unmarried teenaged daughter WAS pregnant is to to announce that your unmarried teenaged daughter IS pregnant.

But, at least there will be a forced birth and shotgun wedding, so that makes it OK!

This is what you get when you have conservative "family values" that give lip service to abstinence and not even that to contraception. Shockingly, kids are interested in sex and some of them even try things, and if you just pretend they won't then you wind up with kids having babies pretty young, probably before they are ready for the responsibility of caring for a child, much less being sure that the person they got shotgunned into marriage with is the person they actually want to spend the rest of their life with. (As if anyone can make a rational decision about living with someone for the rest of their life when they have yet to even leave home and live on their own yet.)
