Canada's accused Islamic Terrorist was reported to have told al-Qaida that Canada has cheap land in which to set up a Terrorist Training Camp.

To that I say, well I guess British Columbians have no fear of any Terrorist Training Camp being set up in these parts, with Land prices for a small 80X40 foot lot going for around $300,000.00. Course most Canadians trying to find cheap land come up empty, perhaps Momin was talking about the Arctic?

Khawaja hoped to set up extremist training, trial told

Momin Khawaja wanted to help set up a terrorist training camp in Canada, telling a one-time al-Qaida operative that there was "lots of land in Canada and it was very cheap," according to testimony in his terrorism trial yesterday.

During an October 2003 trip Khawaja took to Pakistan, the Orleans software developer discussed the possibility of setting up an Islamist paramilitary training camp modelled on the one he attended earlier that summer in northern Pakistan, said Mohammed Junaid Babar in court.

Babar, a convicted al-Qaida member who acted as the go-between for a nascent terror cell based in the U.K. and Pakistan, revealed the details of Khawaja's Canadian terrorist training plans during his last day of examination by Crown prosecutors yesterday.

BOMB PLOT

Babar, who spent 17 days testifying against his co-conspirators in the U.K. fertilizer bomb plot trial in 2006, is the star witness in the Crown's case against Khawaja.
