With California legalizing Gay Marriage, Tourist Operators have not noticed any appreciable decline of Gay Tours to Vancouver, BC.  Why would they? Vancouver is a prime destination for many the World over regardless of sexual orientation.

Vancouver has it all, Ocean, Beaches, Mountains, Restaurants and Clubs.  More so, Canadian Cities for the most part have always been "Gay Friendly" , with Vancouver's Gay Pride Parade Celebrations as mainstream today, as Chinese New Year or Saint Patricks day, Canadians are very accepting and for the most part do not care a persons sexual orientation.

As for Gay marriage being accepted in California? Why not when two people love each other, does it really matter their sexual orientation? In my opinion, it is a step in the right direction.

Ruling to allow same-sex marriage in California won't make city less appealingVancouver SunPublished: Friday, May 16, 2008

VANCOUVER - A California court decision to allow same-sex marriage could cut down on the number of gay U.S. travelers heading to B.C. to get married but the impact won't be huge, Vancouver tourism officials said Friday.

The California Supreme Court struck down the state's ban on same-sex marriage this week in a decision that invalidates virtually any law that discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation.

The 4-3 ruling declared the state constitution protects a fundamental "right to marry" that extends equally to same-sex couples. It tossed a highly emotional issue into the election year while opening the way for tens of thousands of gay people to wed in California, starting as early as mid-June.

Tourism Vancouver representative Dayna Miller said Vancouver is considered a very attractive destination for gay travelers for many reasons, not just because Canada has allowed same-sex marriages since 2003.

Circuitdog, you would not regret a visit here, just make sure you do not come during rainy season, which is October to June, sometimes July and August. hahahahaha

Yeah, our weather is sort of like San Francisco's: lots and lots of rain, but those sunny days are magical*.
